A ride of solitude to PILOT BABA

I am in Kutunje, Bhaktapur. Having sips of this beautiful milk tea by this shop woman in this 'Chautari' is different. I wanted to talk and i asked her about the way to go to Pilot Baba. But she talked to me as if she was in disgrace. She however gestured towards an ice cream 'dhaba' nearby. Two beautiful girls from the 'dhaba' said i could reach Pilot Baba after two hours hike up dusty road. I was glad i had a bike. It was  pleasent to sit by this 'chautari'. One can feel the cool wind blow his insanities away. There are five persons sitting by me. They look like native on this place. All of them are elders and it seems like they are suffering in this silence. But they do not complain. At all. they look at bypassers (hikers) with curious eyes. I wonder.
I made my way going since i couldn't wait.

I rode  through the shrubs thinking of reaching on the top. Within a few miles of dusty ride, I arrived at Suryabinayak. I hit a black topped road for nearly 20 minutes and finally on the hilltop.

Pilot Baba, birth name- Somnath Giri, was a sage who travelled accross many hills of Nepal and preached people. He never married. This aashram was built in memory of him by his disciples in 2014. There is a a temple dedicated to him called Somnath Mandir and there is also a library which is full of spiritual readings.

A good thing about being here is the beauty of standing tall, above the valley. One can see the southwest of the valley below here. Surrounded by the thick srubbed forest, this place is good for spending sometime alone( its always fun with a company though). I recharged my stock of solitude and rode back to crowd into the city once again. It was nevertheless a majestic time, a best getaway out of my exam stress. JAI PILOT BABA!!
